NATCA LONG TERM DISABILITY BENEFIT provides members the option to participate in group Long Term Disability Coverage.  

This coverage is specifically designed for NATCA Members.  It is unique in that it covers LOSS OF MEDICAL CERTIFICATE (coverage begins after the selected waiting period).  

The coverage is Underwritten by Unum, a major disability insurance carrier in the United States.

DURING THE 2009 OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD, we added 2 new products!

Accident insurance helps pay deductibles, coinsurance and copayments when you or a family
member have a covered accident. This helps bridge the financial gap until your long term disability begins or simply to help pay your deductible, coinsurance and copayments when you or a covered family member have an accident.


Accident plans pay a lump sum benefit payment to the insured not to the provider! The plans are guaranteed renewable and coverage is available for NATCA Members, their spouse and children.

These are individual insurance policies that you take with you when you retire!

Below is a examples of when benefits are payable:
› Ambulance (land and air)
› Dislocated bones
› Fractures
› Torn Knee cartilage
› Tendon/ligament and rotator cuff surgeries
› Hospital confinements
› Emergency room visits
› Follow up physical therapy for accidents
› Concussions
